Egyptian Chapter Music Teachers Association is affiliated with Illinois State Music Teachers Association (ISMTA) and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). Music teachers and musicians who join this local association (ECMTA), also become members of the state and national associations. Members of ECMTA are entitled the numerous membership services that are provided by MTNA. Some of these include but are not limited to :
- Continuing Education opportunities through conferences, workshops, and seminars, on topics such as teaching and current industry developments.
- Professional Development through various resources for private studio management, business insurance packages and subscriptions to the award winning official journal of MTNA, The American Music Teacher. The American Music Teacher provides outstanding and current articles relevant to the 21st Century music teacher.
Students also have the opportunity to participate in AIM which is a nationally acclaimed music assessment curriculum.
